WHAT IS HOLI HAI?
Holi is the Festival of Colors, celebrating the coming arrival of Spring, friendship and equality. “Holi Hai!” translates to “It’s Holi!”
WHO CAN ATTEND?
The more the merrier! Adults of all ages, children and families all have a blast at this festival.
ARE THERE TICKETS?
Entry is FREE! That said, we encourage you to register and RSVP here, to get early access to special offers and so that we can plan the event better for you.
WHERE DO I GET THE COLORS?
You can pre-order your colors here, and we’ll have environmentally safe colors available for purchase at the event. Please do not bring your own colors – we will not allow anyone to bring their own colors for our guests’ safety.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear white, because you’re going to get colored! Be sure wear clothes that you don’t mind getting color on and that you’ll be comfortable in. The colored powders used in Holi represent happiness, love, and the freedom to live vibrantly.
WILL FOOD BE AVAILABLE?
Yes. There will be many vendors selling delicious food.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
Governors Island is a 6 minute ferry ride from lower Manhattan and even less from Brooklyn. Check the festival website for more details!
